("we", "us" or "our"), shall establish this Privacy Policy for the purpose of constructing a system to protect personal information to ensure the security of its owners as well as for us to properly manage and protect such personal information as handled when conducting business activities.
The Japanese language version of this Privacy Policy is the original and will prevail over any other translated versions issued by us.
1. Scope of Application

This Privacy Policy will apply to customers, business partners, shareholders, applicants, employees and other parties related to our business activities (collectively, "Customers" or "you") accessing or using our services, products, apps, websites or the like (collectively, "Services"). Any provision provided individually ("Individual Provision") for handling of personal information on Services, will apply in addition to the provision hereof. If any conflict or legal violation arises between details hereof and those of any such Individual Provision, the details of the Individual Provision shall prevail.
In addition, any handling of personal information concerning any third party's services, products, apps, websites or the like, will be beyond the scope of application hereof.

We will collect personal information through appropriate procedures to the extent necessary to perform operations considering business details and size; details of personal information to be collected are as follows:

Names, genders, addresses, birthdates, phone numbers, email addresses, payment data, personal identification information, etc.
All or part of the personal information listed above are necessary for us to receive from you to perform our obligations under contracts for Services, or perform our operations for legitimate interests; otherwise, you may not be able to access all or part of the Services.
Furthermore, there are cases when we obtain all or part of the personal information listed above from a copy of register, a government publication, etc. and other lawful methods.

6. Sharing with Third Parties

6.1 We may disclose collected personal information to the following third parties when sharing it among our Group Companies, outsourcing it to our subcontractors (service providers) or when required by provisions of laws/ordinances to disclose it to public agencies.

(1) Group Companies
We may share personal information among our Group Companies in hard copy form or by electronic data, which they or we have collected directly or indirectly; types and purposes of use of personal information to be shared are listed under Sections 4 and 5 above. We will responsibly manage such personal information to be shared; incidentally, "Group Companies" shall mean consolidated subsidiaries and affiliated companies accounted for under the equity method, listed in our asset securities reports.
(2) Subcontractors (Service providers)
We may outsource all or part of operations to third parties including, but not limited to, marketing companies and IT service providers ("Subcontractors"), in which case we may disclose personal information to such Subcontractors in order to achieve the purposes of use set forth in the items of Section 5 above; such personal information disclosed to the Subcontractors will be used under our instruction and in line with the original purposes of use.
(3) Legal obligations
We may, in compliance with laws/ordinances, disclose personal information to law enforcement public agencies in response to requests that fall under such laws/ordinances, court orders or upon request of government agencies or law enforcement agencies including, but not limited to, requests from such government agencies and courts of countries where we conduct business.

6.2 We may relocate personal information to business entities in countries outside the European Economic Area ("EEA"), which do not appropriately protect personal information, in which case we will take measures such as entering into standard contractual clauses based on general data protection regulation (GDPR), to ensure appropriate levels of protection for personal information.

7. Security Management Measures
(1) Preventive measures for personal information and retained personal data leakage, loss, damage, etc.
We take necessary and appropriate security management measures to prevent leakage, loss, damage, etc., of personal information and retained personal data. We also provide training and supervision for our employees in ensuring appropriate handling of personal information and retained personal data; when outsourcing all or part of the handling of personal information and retained personal data, we scrupulously select subcontractors as well as provide necessary and appropriate supervision for them.
(2) Corrective measures for personal information and retained personal data leakage, loss, damage, etc.
In the event of any accident involving personal information and retained personal data leakage, loss, damage, etc., we will promptly take corrective measures and search for causes to prevent recurrences, placing utmost priority on preventing the damage from spreading. In order to handle personal information more rigorously, we have established personal information protection regulations based on the Privacy Policy compliant with JIS Q 15001.We operate a personal information protection management system after assessing theexternal environment.

8. Retention Period
Unless otherwise provided in laws/ordinances, we will determine a retention period to the extent necessary for the purposes of use and erase personal information without delay after the period or after achieving the purposes of use. Due to technical limitations on erasure or encryption of personal information, we will securely protect and limit active use of personal information.
9. Continuous Improvement
We take necessary and appropriate personal/organizational/technical security management measures to prevent unauthorized access to personal information or such information leakage, loss, damage or the like. We also regularly check these security management measures set up a corrective process, and continuously improve the management system for protecting personal information.
10. Request for Personal Information Disclosure
10.1 If you wish to request disclosure, correction, addition, deletion or access suspension or third-party disclosure, or the disclosure of records of provision to third parties (collectively, “Disclosure”) with regards to any personal information held by us, please apply through our specified procedures; for procedures to request Disclosure, consult the “Request Procedures for Personal Information Disclosure”.
10.2 Customers living in any country inside the EEA may, within the scope of applicable laws, exercise the following rights:
(a) Right to object to our collecting, processing or using personal information;
(b) Right to have necessary information provided when we collect personal information;
(c) Right to access personal information;
(d) Right to request rectification of personal information;
(e) Right to request deletion of personal information;
(f) Right to request restriction of processing applicable to personal information;
(g) Right to request data portability of personal information;
(h) Right to withdraw consent; and
(i) Right to lodge complaints against supervisory authorities.

11. Children's Personal Information
We will not intentionally collect personal information from Customers under 16 years of age. If you are less than 16 years old, be sure to have your parent confirm the details hereof for his or her consent. Please report to the robot home Inc. Personal Information Inquiries (refer to Section 14 below) if you find anyone under 16 years of age agreeing hereto and accessing or using Services without parental confirmation or consent.
12. Additional Policies for Specified Area Residents
Handling of personal information of Customers living in countries outside Japan or the EEA will be subject to the following provisions based on the laws/ordinances of the applicable areas.
(1) California
Customers living in California, USA, have the right to request specified information on our sharing of your personal information with any third party for direct marketing purposes; if you wish to exercise this right, address your request to the robot home Inc. Personal Information Inquiries (refer to Section 14 below).
(2) China
Customers living in China acknowledge and agree that we may forward your personal information to any third party outside China.
13. Change of Privacy Policy
We reserve the right to change this Privacy Policy at any time to reflect the latest privacy practice herein. We will inform you of any change made by us by posting the changed Privacy Policy on our website, which shall become effective on a specified revision date.

Request Procedures for Personal Information Disclosure
If you wish to request Disclosure of any personal information, please apply through the following procedures or contact the inquiry counter in our Privacy Policy:
A. Scope of Disclosure
Disclosure shall apply only to personal information collected and actually held by us for the purposes of use, including your addresses and names.

C. Required Documents
(1) Our specified application
Print out and fill in an Application for Personal Information Inquiries with necessary information.
(2) Your identification documents
i. If the application is performed by you, provide one photocopy of the following:
- Driver's license;
- Passport;
- Health insurance card; or
- Resident card.
ii. If the application is performed by your agent, provide the following a + b:
a. Power of attorney that certifies your agent; and
b. Either a certificate of your seal impression on the power of attorney or a photocopy of your agent's identification document (Refer to C (2) i above).
D. Handling Fee
(1) Request for notification of purposes of use or request for disclosure
Handling fee: 1,000 yen (including tax) per request;
Payment method: Include a postal money order or postage stamp in your required documents.
(2) Any request other than D (1) above
No handling fee required; however, if you fail to specify the personal information requested, you will need to request disclosure of the personal information we originally have, in which case please be advised in advance that you will need the handling fee for a disclosure request as specified in D (1) above.
E. Response Procedure/Time
(1) Response procedure
We will send a response by "registered mail" to your address listed in the application.
(2) Response time
It will take approximately 2 weeks to respond from receipt of all documents set forth in C above; however, please be advised that it may take longer due to unavoidable circumstances including mail service conditions.
F. Not Disclosure
We may not implement Disclosure under any of the following conditions, in which case please be advised that any handling fee you have paid will not be refundable:
(a) You are not identifiable;
(b) You have requested types of personal information not subject to Disclosure;
(c) You have not completed the specified documents;
(d) You have not paid the handling fee;
(e) Disclosure may risk your or any third party's life, health, properties or other rights/interests;
(f) It may significantly interfere with the smooth operation of our business;
(g) It is or may be illegal; or
(h) We deem it inappropriate due to other reasons.
G. Purpose of Use of Personal Information Collected Through Request Procedures for Disclosure
We will use personal information collected through request procedures, only to the extent necessary to research such procedures, identify you or your agent, collect handling fees and respond to the procedures; we will dispose of your required documents and other materials submitted by you through appropriate means after responding to the request for Disclosure.
